The stylus is supposed to sit equi-distance to the groove walls so if the anti-skate is out then the stylus would be touching one wall more than the other , so yes .

Also if the azimuth is out this will also cause channel imbalance , you may have a tonearm that is adjustable , I've always had Rega arms and they are not .

Lol . Can’t believe I’ve done this . I do generally sit off axis but could swear that one channel was lower than the other . Sit in the sweet spot and I’m not imagining it . Check all connections and nothing amiss . Then  I  notice the Antiskate is set the same as the tracking force . I dialled it in wrong a week ago after a tweaking session .  What a dick.
